Welcome to Walk Less Travel. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, https://walklesstravel.com/, and the car rental and travel-related services offered by us in Guwahati, Assam, and other destinations across Northeast India.
By accessing our website, contacting us for an enquiry, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, together with any specific booking terms communicated and agreed upon for your trip. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. About Walk Less Travel
Walk Less Travel provides car rental and travel-related services, which may include airport transfers, local transportation, sightseeing trips, outstation travel, and journeys to destinations across Northeast India, subject to availability and confirmation.

2. Enquiries and Booking Confirmation
Customers may contact us through our website, telephone, WhatsApp, or email to enquire about vehicle availability, fares, routes, and travel arrangements.
An enquiry or booking request does not by itself guarantee vehicle availability or a confirmed reservation. A booking will be considered confirmed once the relevant trip details have been agreed upon and Walk Less Travel has communicated confirmation.
Customers should provide accurate information, including their name, contact number, pickup and drop-off locations, travel date, pickup time, destination, passenger count, and any special travel requirements.
Customers should retain any booking confirmation and agreed fare details for reference. Any advance payment or other booking requirements will be communicated during the booking process.
3. Vehicle Availability and Allocation
Vehicle allocation depends on availability, the requested vehicle category, passenger capacity, luggage requirements, route suitability, and the agreed travel schedule.
Vehicle photographs and descriptions on our website are for reference purposes. The actual vehicle may differ in appearance, model, colour, or features depending on availability. Customers should confirm any essential vehicle requirements with us before booking.
If an unforeseen circumstance affects the originally planned vehicle, we will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer and arrange a suitable alternative where available. Any material change in vehicle category or fare should be discussed with the customer before proceeding, wherever reasonably practicable.
4. Fares, Payments and Additional Charges
Fares depend on the vehicle category, route, distance, trip duration, travel date, itinerary, and other agreed requirements. Any fare displayed on the website or shared during an enquiry is subject to confirmation for the specific booking.
Before confirming a booking, customers should clarify the total fare and whether the quoted amount includes tolls, parking, driver allowance, permits, taxes, waiting charges, or other applicable expenses.
Additional charges may apply for extra kilometres, additional hours, itinerary changes, extended waiting time, additional stops, or other services not included in the original agreement. Applicable charges should be communicated and agreed upon wherever reasonably possible.
Any advance payment, booking deposit, balance payment, and accepted payment method will be communicated during booking. Customers should follow the payment instructions provided through our authorised communication channels and retain payment receipts or transaction references.
Failure to make an agreed payment may affect the booking or continuation of the service, subject to the applicable booking terms and law.
5. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refunds
Customers who wish to cancel or reschedule a booking should contact Walk Less Travel as early as possible through our official phone number, WhatsApp, or email.
Any cancellation charges, refund eligibility, advance payment conditions, and rescheduling rules will be governed by the cancellation and refund policy communicated or published for the booking. Customers should review these conditions before paying an advance or confirming a reservation.
If Walk Less Travel is unable to provide a confirmed service, we will communicate with the customer and discuss an appropriate alternative or refund, as applicable under the agreed booking terms and applicable law.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment method and the relevant payment provider. No term in this section is intended to remove any refund or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Pickup, Waiting Time and Trip Schedule
Customers should be ready at the agreed pickup location and time. They should provide accurate pickup details and remain reachable by phone when necessary for coordination.
Customers should inform us promptly if their flight, train, or other arrival schedule changes. Waiting time, delays, extended stops, or changes to the itinerary may affect the trip schedule and may result in additional charges where previously communicated and applicable.
Travel times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, road conditions, weather, road closures, local restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to coordinate the trip, but exact arrival times cannot always be guaranteed.
7. Customer Responsibilities and Conduct
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate booking and contact information.
- Follow the agreed pickup time, route, and travel arrangements.
- Treat the vehicle and driver respectfully.
- Follow applicable laws and reasonable safety instructions during the journey.
- Avoid carrying prohibited, illegal, or dangerous items in the vehicle.
- Inform us of itinerary changes or special requirements as early as possible.
- Pay the agreed fare and any applicable additional charges that have been properly communicated and agreed upon.
- Avoid smoking, damaging the vehicle, or engaging in unlawful or unsafe behaviour inside the vehicle.
Where customer conduct creates a genuine safety risk, involves unlawful activity, or makes continuation of the trip unsafe, appropriate action may be taken in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.
8. Passenger Safety and Luggage
Passengers should use available seat belts and follow applicable road safety requirements. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult, and appropriate child safety arrangements should be discussed before booking where required.
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings, luggage, valuables, and travel documents. Please check the vehicle before leaving at the end of the journey and promptly report any missing item.
Customers should inform us in advance about oversized luggage, additional baggage, mobility requirements, or other needs that may affect vehicle selection or passenger capacity.
9. Routes, Permits and Destination Restrictions
Some destinations or routes may require permits, identification documents, special permissions, or compliance with local travel restrictions. Customers are responsible for providing the documents or information legally required from them, while any agreed assistance with permits will be clarified during booking.
Route availability may change because of weather, road conditions, local regulations, security restrictions, or directions from relevant authorities. Any necessary route or itinerary changes will be handled in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.
10. Delays and Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Walk Less Travel will make reasonable efforts to provide the agreed service. However, delays or interruptions may occur due to severe weather, landslides, floods, traffic congestion, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, government restrictions, public disturbances, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
Where practicable, we will inform customers of significant disruptions and discuss available alternatives. Any rescheduling, additional expenses, or refund will be handled according to the applicable booking terms and law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability for matters where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Walk Less Travel will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from events beyond our reasonable control or from a customer’s reliance on unconfirmed website information.
Our responsibilities for a specific booking will be determined by the confirmed arrangements, applicable law, and the facts of the situation. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits statutory consumer rights or excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
We may revise these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes in our services, website, booking processes, or applicable laws.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. The specific terms agreed upon for an existing booking will remain subject to the applicable agreement and law.
