Meghalaya & Kaziranga Nature Escape

On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, our driver will receive you and begin the journey towards Shillong. The drive from Guwahati takes approximately 3 hours.

En route, stop at beautiful Umiam Lake and the nearby water sports park for sightseeing and leisure time. Shillong is roughly another 30 minutes from the lake and is popularly known as the Scotland of the East.

Depending on arrival time, explore attractions such as Shillong Golf Club, Bara Bazaar, the Botanical Survey of India Orchidarium, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park and Zoo, Meghalaya State Museum, Shillong Peak and Butterfly Museum.

After an early breakfast, start for Cherrapunji (Sohra) at around 6:30 AM. Located approximately 65 km from Shillong, the journey takes about 2 hours. Enjoy scenic valleys, waterfalls and dramatic gorges along the way.

Explore the major attractions of Cherrapunji, including Nohsngithiang (Seven Sisters) Falls, Nohkalikai Falls and Mawsmai Cave, depending on available time.

As per the planned schedule, leave Cherrapunji before 12:00 PM for Mawlynnong Village (approximately 3 hours). Reach around 3:00 PM and visit the village and the Single Decker Living Root Bridge.

Continue to Dawki (approximately 1 hour) for your overnight stay.

Start early for Shnongpdeng Village. Enjoy optional adventure activities such as kayaking, cliff jumping and zip-lining with local guides and instructors, subject to safety conditions and availability.

Continue to Krang Shuri Falls, approximately 30 km and around 1 hour from Shnongpdeng, to enjoy the beautiful waterfall surroundings.

Travel onward to your accommodation, either at a homestay near Sohryngkham Tea Garden or in Shillong, depending on the booking arrangement.

After breakfast, begin the journey towards Kaziranga National Park. Allow approximately 7 hours for the road journey, subject to traffic and road conditions.

On arrival in Kaziranga, check in and rest. If time permits, explore nearby local attractions. Overnight accommodation will be arranged in Kaziranga.

Wake up early and have tea, biscuits or a light breakfast before proceeding for an Elephant Safari at Kaziranga, subject to advance booking, park schedules and availability.

If desired and time permits, enjoy an optional Jeep Safari as well.

Later, begin the return journey to Guwahati. The drive generally takes around 5 hours, depending on road conditions. Check in for your overnight stay in Guwahati.

Wake up early, have some tea and set out for Maa Kamakhya Temple darshan. Aim to arrive around 6:30 AM. VIP darshan tickets, queue times and prices are subject to the temple’s current arrangements; the approximate ₹500 ticket mentioned in the proposed plan must be confirmed before travel.

After darshan, enjoy breakfast. Depending on your departure schedule, you may also visit Umananda Temple.

Our driver will drop you at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station in time for your onward journey.
